Muse-ical

So y’all already I LOVE Musicals! Oh em gee! The music paired with movements, and dance and visual storytelling. Just pinch me! If I could sing well, I would do all I could to perform in them ALL! I’ll be the first to admit, I was sleeping on Hamilton, the musical. I had heard a bit of the reviews, but no one clued me in on the music! OH EM GEE! Since its television debut, I’ve listened to at least one or twelve songs, everyday. The last time I played a musical to this length was “Rent”. My niece hates that movie because of me, which is such an unfortunate tragedy. However I still listen to “Rent”. Fun Fact; Alphabet City is one of my favorite neighborhoods to take a lazy stroll in the summer.

Although we are still dealing with ‘Rona Virus, I am hopeful I’ll have the opportunity to see Hamilton, the musical live on Broadway. If I had a choice of being in “Rent” or “Hamilton” I think I would chose RENT!

  1. Rent- I have loved that musical since 2012. Fell in love with it by songs alone. 5 yrs later- I finally saw the stage show

      1. I love Rent due to the incredible songs, characters, and overall-Rent’s message. As a matter of fact, I got to see La Bohème this year- I wanted to see it in person due to Rent

My family, Wicked, and Les Mis are why I am the musical fanatic I am today.

      2. Sadly I’ve never been to a Broadway Show, and I live in NYC. Can’t Blame Anyone but myself!
Hopefully Broadway will open up again, but with Corona who knows.

      3. I don’t live in NYC- I live down in Charlotte. Blumenthal promised Charlotte something: that they will return.

I have to rely on Broadway Tours just to see musicals. I actually have been to both Broadway and the West End.

      4. Charlotte- here are some things I love it:

        1. Blumenthal Performing Arts
        2. Independent Bookstores
        3. Greenways
        4. Amelie’s
        5. Malls
        6. The Firebird Statue
        7. etc…..

        It pretty much has everything

Here is what Blumenthal believes: that the best way for Broadway to even open again is to open the tours first
