I think I’m at the age where I do not want anyone in a customer service space to go above and beyond for me. I just simply want folks to do the job, they are supposed to, dats it. I don’t even want people to ‘put on’, have a smile or be jolly, whatever that means. I really just want people to do the job, that are hired for. It’s so annoying to give clear instructions and those instructions are ignored. Story time, I went into Dunkin’ Donuts today, because I had an extremely early morning, and had only had a yogurt before leaving the house. So I said to myself sure, I’ll get my favorite, a Brown Sugar Maple Sandwich, WITH NO EGG. Well the cashier seemed new so I made sure to speak slowly, and clearly, because I HATE having eggs on anything. After some time, she was finally able to put the correct order in, but imagine my surprise when BOOM! there’s an egg on my sandwich. I informed the cashier, who in turned informed the person who was making the sandwiches. There’s NO way that in two minutes, you made a completely new sandwich, cuz I could’ve simply just taken the egg off. I don’t want it anywhere on my food! So after having to explain to them, just that, I said, I needed my money back. What if I was allergic? Y’all mofo’s are trying to kill me!
What makes it even more annoying, its the location literally across the street from my house. So I guess I’ll have to find another spot for morning breakfast sandwiches. Customer Service really can make or break a location. Do Better!
