San Gennaro Feast 17.

I know I’m late.

I had the immense pleasure of experiencing The San Gennaro Festival this year again in little Italy, Nyc. It’s a festival that spans over 11 days and celebrates Italians coming to New York from Italy. It’s a festival filled with food, culture and more food. Think all the italian sausage, Cannoli and zeppoles you can get your hands on! Unfortunately and fortunately it was drizzling when Michael (Coworker) and I got there but it helped to semi thin the crowd out.

First we started at the beginning of the fest which is Prince st down to (I think) Canal street, just so we could see what was being offered. Once we got to the end, we was going to walk back up but there was a mini parade in which the priest were blessing all of the shops. Our first stop was for my Italian sausage with onions, and it didn’t disappoint! Second stop, Mexican Roasted corn, however I got butter & ‘spices’ and Lord! My mouth was on Fire! But I ate every kernel. Lastly, Gelato! Since I recently had the freshest (a word?) gelato from Spain I wasn’t impressed AT ALL!

The festival is still going on until Sunday September 24th, Make sure you partake!

Museum Mile Fest

I’m always in the mood for a festival, the icing on top is free access to Seven Museums?!

Just count me in!

Most Museums in New York City have a suggested fee for entrance, however most folks don’t know that, so they end up paying full price! Well not this gal! My favorite museum in New York is The MET! I am fully obsessed, and like most museum I can, and usually spend all day there. There’s so much to see, and resee! (Word?) During the festival, I do think I am going to focus all my attention on the Guggenheim! I’ve been there exactly once and that was years ago with my mother. If I’m not mistaken she had a school assignment, so naturally I tagged along. To this day, the magic of the Guggenheim still blows me away, and I cannot wait to refresh my memory with its beauty!

I will try to make an effort to visit at least one other museum but I highly doubt I’ll be able to pull myself away from the Guggenheim. I will try to dance in the street, or decorate the sidewalk with chalk! If you are in the New York City area, please do partake in the festivities!

SideNote: Its forecasted to rain but the rain doesn’t stop a thang, just bring your rainboots and umbrella, I’ll see you there!

Unknown

I am realizing that folks are obsessed with the unknown. People are more willing to follow through the steps when they do not know what the ‘prize’ will be. I’m currently in the middle of doing my second giveaway, and I would like to believe that it is going better than my first. Obviously the first is a learning lesson, and I did learn. This time around I am playing with different ideas, and not limiting myself to thinking that because something is free they will just ‘do it’. As of today five people have entered compared to the two that entered the first time. I am just as excited to be hosting the giveaway.

My Valentine’s Day giveaway was largely in part for me being the single belle that I am, I wanted to spoil someone other than myself. Lush has always been one of my favorite stores for pampering so it just seemed like a no brainer. My objective is the same with this giveaway as the last, and the rest that are to come, I want women to use the products they are given, and block off some time for themselves to put themselves first.

Have you Entered yet, it ends today!
