Lets get married!

I’m actually really excited, although the double sided tape isn’t working, and I don’t have a damn strapless bra for the dress I’m wearing BUT I’m going to my first wedding as an adult. Its in Louisville, so I’ll take the first flight. And I’m bout to get myself together, so I can go to bed, I have to wake up earlier than I was planning. I have to make a target run for pasties. Please keep your fingers crossed that they have what I need. Otherwise I don’t really have a backup plan.

Yesterday I went to Macys to find the dress. Here are the options. Can you guess which one, if any, I went with.

So yall know I don’t love Miami but I do love the beach. Although expensive, its a quick flight, and usually a chill vibe. One of my best friends planned a girls trip this past august, and I must say, I came through with the swimwear/beach fits. I’ll always be a beach girl, but yall would be delighted to know, I was out there riding actual bikes! OMG!!

Yall know I love blk and white photography, just an instant timeless photo. And when done right, when you get ‘the’ shot, it becomes a forever photo. So I’m always trying new (for me) things, this time I was playing with lighting, and posing. I honestly never know how to pose, so I just do slow random movements, then check the footage, and make adjustments as needed. This time I was in Puerto Rico, and the bathing suit I was planning on wearing, was not staying in the correct places, so I decided to still utilize the suit in my room. Without further delay … Also, Be Kind about my work! I’m sensitive about my shit!

Wedding Szn

Last week I was in Coral Gables, Florida, while I was walking in the neighborhood, I passed quite a few bridal couture shoppes. I’m talking up to three on every block, but it got me thinking … Do I want to get married? Have a wedding? The dresses were gorgeous, but maybe I just want to play dress up and have a huge party. Or maybe I haven’t met that person that makes me dream of wedding bells. Although I have no clue If I’ll ever get married, I would love to have the experience of trying on wedding dresses, because omg!

Ank LETs

So … Anklets? How do we feel about them? Cuz I think I am in Love. There is something about taking off my socks, stepping out of the shower, trying on shoes, but looking down and seeing anklets on my anklet. Such a sexy accessory! Shit! I remember when folks were over the moon about toe rings, but nah, yall can keep those. There is NOTHING sexier than an anklet. Its the right mix of showing skin, matter fact its an understated sexy piece. Oh Lawd! I need all parts. I don’t think I can further live my life without an anklet. Last week, I brought a few, and now I think I am walking with a stride, extending those legs!

Story time, I was in Nordstrom Rack looking for sensible shoes for work, didn’t find any, but two pairs of Jessica Simpson brand shoes caught my attention. (Sidenote, She makes a great shoe!) While trying to first on, I received two compliments about my anklets, so Ladies, Folks DEF notice the small deets. Luckily for you, I snapped a flick. Enjoy!

Fashion Friday

Please don’t drag me! I know I should’ve taken a better photo, but I was on my way to the airport, and I really didn’t have the opportunity but at least I took a photo! Can we celebrate the small wins? I love a good leather jacket, bonus if its not black, so this Samantha Sipos design was screaming my name, when I was browsing Rent the Runway. I paired it with a fifteen twenty white tie front top, that was actually heavier fabric that I realized. Although the detail is left out, the sleeve are blk/white stripped, which was a nice twist to a white shirt. My favorite GAP Jeans, Converse tennis shoes, and a patterned headband rounded out this week’s #FashionFriday
